Boulder City Animal Shelter's very cute mailbox.
Hey there,
fellow travelers and animal lovers! We’re now in beautiful Boulder City,
Nevada, and couldn’t resist checking out the local animal shelter. It was
literally two blocks away from our RV Park. If you’re in the area and looking
for a new furry friend scroll to the bottom to look at their cute little faces. Or maybe just looking for a way to give back? Here’s what you need to know!

Boulder City Animal Control – More Than Just a Shelter
Boulder City Animal Control isn’t just about stray pets—it’s all about keeping
the community safe and making sure animals get the care they need. Whether it’s
lost pets, adoptions, or just lending a helping hand, these folks do it all!
Ways You Can Help
·
Adopt, don’t shop! There are always
adorable pets looking for a second chance at a happy home.
·
Volunteer! Whether you want to
walk dogs, help with office work, or just give some love to animals in need,
there’s a spot for you. (Must be 18+ and pass a background check.)
·
Foster a pet! Sometimes animals
need a temporary home before they find their forever family. If you’re up for
it, the shelter would love to hear from you.
·
Donate supplies! Food, leashes,
blankets, toys—you name it, they need it! Every little bit helps. Before
leaving we left a bag of kitty litter. 😊
A
Few Quick Notes
·
Keep
your pets licensed—it helps them get home safely if they ever get lost.
·
Nuisance
barking? Animal Control can help, but you’ll need to sign a complaint.
·
Found
an injured or stray pet? Give them a call, and they’ll make sure it gets proper
care.
·
Wildlife
questions? They don’t handle coyotes, ducks, or other wild critters, but the
Nevada Department of Wildlife does!

town, why not stop by and see how you can make a difference? Until next
time—happy tails and safe travels! 🐾
⭐
Please understand, I’m not lecturing that everyone should only adopt shelter
animals, but if you’re buying a dog or other animal from a breeder, be 100%
certain they are reputable… and maybe consider adding a shelter pet while
you’re at it! 😉

I know shelters are always in need of donations and it looks like the community of Boulder City has been quite generous with blankets! |
